Adventuring In Lombok – Explore Hidden Gem

If you are planning to visit Lombok, there are several different places that you can visit and have the time of your life. Here are some hidden gems that you should consider. They are guaranteed to make your trip extraordinary.

lombok beach

Bukit Pergasingan – Climbing this hill will give you a fantastic view of Lombok and Rinjani. You will have a bird’s eye view of the rice fields below. The landscape is also breathtaking with rolling hills in the horizon. It is a great place to go for a hike because climbing the top takes 4 hours. Of course the delightful scenery makes the climb a lot more bearable.

Semeti Beach – This beach is quite dramatic. It has jagged rock formations coming out of it such that it makes you think of the planet krypton from which superman originates. Other rocks further out to sea are shaped like the Egyptian pyramids. This beach is found in central Lombok, but is quite unknown by most tourists. If you will be climbing the nearby hills to get a top view of the beach, be sure to wear covered shoes.

Mangku Sakti Waterfall – This waterfall is located in an area deemed almost impenetrable. Very few tourists actually make it here. The area is beautiful and forested and the rivers have rocks in them. It is in this magical place that you will find the beautiful Mangku Sakti waterfall. From Lombok, it takes about 2 hours to get there. Then you will have to walk another 1 km before you finally see the magical waterfall.

Nambung Beach – Located in west Lombok, this salt water waterfall can be found at Nambung beach. Water from the ocean in large waves crushes against the cliffs pouring water overland. The water then flows back towards the ocean forming a waterfall. Beneath the water fall is a lagoon where you can enjoy a dip in the cool water. Since the swells here can be quite big, surfers have an opportunity to ride the waves.

Tanjung Poki – This is a natural wonder in itself. Here, the water from the ocean flows through a narrow cliff making a thunderous noise as it crashes. It then comes out of a blowhole that pushes the water some 10 meters high.

Bangkang Cave – This cave is a must watch because of the stalagmite and stalactite formations on the inside of it. There are bats living in the cave, so be sure not to bother them as you explore.

Gili Kondo – This is a very tiny island just off Lombok to the East. Here, you can have some privacy and enjoy some snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing.

They are so many hidden places that you can explore here! Are you ready to explore these places ? Make sure to visit our receptionist or concierge on the front desk when you stay with us to know how to get to these places.

I love scuba diving not only for the adventure, but also for the wonderful and unique things you get to see below the water surface. In the past years I’ve taken a lot of interesting and amazing pictures which I like to store in the https://dive.site logbook, along with all my diving logs.
